‘From challenge comes change, so let’s all choose to challenge’
Today is International Women’s Day, a significant day to recognise women’s achievements, champion progress, and continue to promote equality.
A global celebration of the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women (with the first gathering held in 1911), recognised all over the world as an important and vital continuation of work of generations, to help, support, empower, progress, embolden, enable, inspire and give freedom to women everywhere, bringing groups and communities together worldwide.
In 2020, we combined the day’s celebration with hosting an inaugural Womentor (UK) event in London. Meeting amazing creatives from all over, and feeling humbled by the experience of being at an event where everyone supportively stood together.
This year, we may be celebrating at our respective homes but we continue to #choosetochallenge. Our studio was founded by two women, who chose to challenge what was considered the norm (in 1997). They faced an industry dominated by perceptions and expectations set within foundations that needed greater inclusivity and diversity.
We have seen change positively happen over the time. Each decade has brought wider opportunities, refreshed attitudes, greater support, courage and confidence. We look forward to the coming years and continue to challenge without falter.
