Podcast visual identity and asset toolkit for a writing community
Connecting to a listening audience
Authors’ Matters is a podcast by the Authors’ Licensing and Collecting Society (ALCS), where they talk to writers from across the profession about how they earn their living, or at least try to. From copyright to contracts, they also talk about issues that make earning their living from writing easier or more difficult.
Creating a distinctive and flexible identity
We created a visual identity utilising an elegant mark that captured the spirit of the podcast’s main audience and subject matter.
Typography and setting remained simple, stacked with legibility as a top priority for smaller devices.
Crafting the mark considered a secondary purpose, by weaving it within the visual language to flexibly use as a dividing device across cover artwork. Finally, a bold and digitally-enhanced colour system supports a dynamic and confident application.
